From the Editor
Intersection is moving from what used to be mainly print issues to an open access on-line journal. The transformation is motivated by our objective to reach as many Filipino educators as possible.
In this issue, we have four articles discussing four widely different topics. The first article by Dr. Debbie Verzosa discusses the effectiveness of the INSET model, a common form for continuing education. The second paper by Ms. Leonila Barbacena and Ms. Norina Sy studies eighteen students from Bicol University to learn more about their thinking skills, patterns of thinking skills and metacognitive functions in problem solving. The third paper by Mr. Ryan Dio of Sorsogon State College discusses the validation of the NCBTS-based Mathematics Proficiency Test and the fourth paper by Ms. Melanie Rivera, Ms. Mary Grace Sinfuego, Mr. Adrian Paul Tudayan and Dr. Auxencia Limjap discusses the use of manipulatives in teaching.
This issue also marks our comeback after a long absence. We aspire to be more regular in the release of our issues from here on.
